There are no plans to port SSSD to this platform any more.

Have the plans changed with regards to using SSSD on AIX? Solaris would be great as well however it's out of scope for this topic.

Reason for the ask is that SSSD is not being adapted in at least our environment since we run a mixed environment of Linux, AIX, Solaris and HP-UX in favor of other solutions that support the platforms.

What caused a change of plans to port SSSD to AIX? Accessibility to proprietary code issue?

Cheers,
TK

To the best of my knowledge, no change in plans wrt AIX support.

Out of curiosity, what features in your opinion are missing in the native AIX/Solaris tools that you think SSSD has?

Can you convince IBM to take it and support? We tried. None of the mentioned vendors was interested. The main question is who will support it? If you want to build a business around supporting SSSD on non Linux platforms you are welcome.
