#3579 SSSD fails to fetch group information after switching IPA client to a non-default view
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago Opened 5 years ago by sbose.

Ticket was cloned from Red Hat Bugzilla (product Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7): Bug 1512508

Please note that this Bug is private and may not be accessible as it contains confidential Red Hat customer information.

If an IPA client switches from the default view to another one user lookup with the 'id' command might fail and log messages like '[sssd[nss]] [sysdb_add_overrides_to_object] (0x0020): Missing override DN for object .....' can be see in the log of the nss responder.

If SSSD detects a view change at startup it invalidates all user and group entries in the cache and removes idoverride related data. Currently the lifetime timestamp is only reset the data cache but not in the timestamp cache. Additionally I found some other issues which might prevent a proper refresh in some cases.
