--> Missing Dependency: libcares.so.2()(64bit) is needed by package sssd-0.8.0-0.2009112017gite115c25.el5.x86_64 (sssd)
Error: Missing Dependency: libcares.so.2()(64bit) is needed by package sssd-0.8.0-0.2009112017gite115c25.el5.x86_64 (sssd)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

I noticed that installation on Fedora is now installing c-ares as a dependency. However, no such package for RHEL.

This is not an SSSD bug. RHEL5 proper does not contain c-ares, but EPEL does.

Use of our experimental RHEL5 binaries requires that the EPEL repositories be installed and enabled.
