#2791 sssd dereference processing failed : Input/output error
Closed: Fixed None Opened 5 years ago by jhrozek.

Ticket was cloned from Red Hat Bugzilla (product Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6): Bug 1262981

Please note that this Bug is private and may not be accessible as it contains confidential Red Hat customer information.

If a RHEL-6.7 client is connected to a RHEL-6 IPA server (3.x) that doesn't support views, the client prints warning messages into syslog:

Sep  7 19:43:35 example.com sssd[be[realm.example.com]]: dereference
processing failed : Input/output error
Sep  7 19:43:35 example.com sssd[be[realm.example.com]]: dereference
processing failed : Input/output error

We should split the sss_log() from the innermost request and only print it when applicable.

We would like to release the 1.13.3 tarball soon and this ticket is not a release blocker, therefore I'm moving it out of 1.13.3 into 1.13.4

milestone: SSSD 1.13.3 => SSSD 1.13.4
