#2623 RFE: Add an option to clear cached entries even if offline
Closed: wontfix 4 years ago by pbrezina. Opened 8 years ago by jhrozek.

Some security-hardened environments require that cache entries have a lifetime even if the system is offline. Currently, cache cleanup only works while online.

If we want to comply with these hardened requirements, we would need to add additional option to perform cache cleanup while offline.

I can see a small conflict with ticket #2627 "Disable the cleanup task by default"

cc: => lslebodn@redhat.com

No, there is no conflict, because this RFE describes an opt-in feature for very secure environments. Both this feature and the cleanup task will have to be manually enabled.
