#2301 Print a warning when enumeration is requrested but disabled
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 10 years ago by pspacek.

I'm a bit tired from never ending stream of questions like "Why getent passwd doesn't return all users?"

I'm proposing to log an explanatory message when enumeration is requested by a client for the first time so anyone can easily see it in logs.

The message should be logged once at the start-up if enumeration is off. It should be something like:

"with sssd getent passwd does not return all users by design, see man pages for more"
