#19 Allow suppression of password field from proxied backends
Closed: Invalid None Opened 16 years ago by sgallagh.

SSSD should have a config-file option to suppress the password field from NSS getpw* requests to a proxy back-end.

For example, NIS presents the encrypted password to anyone performing a getpwnam() call, but if we're using an NIS domain within SSSD, it should be possible to prevent outputting that field, despite the fact that the NIS server sends it to the SSSD.

Have you tried using
store-legacy-passwords = FALSE ?

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue since I originally saw it. I think I may have been misconfigured. Closing as worksforme.
