#31 Inclusion on f-droid

f-droid is the open source Android application repository (kinda like Fedora!) so it would make sense for this app to be there.


@bowlofeggs, can you please explain why F-droid is required ?

The Google Play store is not open source, and so if the app is only available via the play store, it is not possible to use it without closed source software. The f-droid store is an alternative to Google Play that itself is open source, and also does not require other closed source software to be present.

Further, here is an example of why users might not want Google's closed source software to be on their phones:
