Following the procedure https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/council/procedures/survey/how-to/ I am creating a tracking ticket for running a Fedora Survey 2023. (Slightly later than expected)
I've created a topic on Fedora Discussion for this ticket.
Please keep this ticket focused. Discuss there, and record votes and decisions here. Thanks!
@riecatnor Are there any more pointers fro where the banner needs to be published beyond the main site? I assume Discourse?

https://pagure.io/Fedora-Council/council-docs/pull-request/193 the update on Survey questions.
Discussed in 2023-06-07 Council meeting.
This ticket was on the agenda mostly to check in on where we are (the multiple places where this conversation is happening has made it tricky to follow, which to be clear I am not faulting @bookwar for).
So, the Council should please review @bookwar's Fedora-Council/council-docs#193 Pull Request ASAP. This seems to be the most urgent action before us right now.
Then, I can coordinate with @bookwar on the LimeSurvey piece (or possibly make her a survey admin since the survey is a regular, recurring activity for us). Or we could delegate the LimeSurvey piece to another willing volunteer.

We had failed to run the survey in June (sorry for the that). Our next opportunity is almost here: 1-3 of July could be a good start and we would run the survey through the entire month of July.
We will get a very short window to parse results before Flock, but I think it is doable.
I hate myself for it but we still have three last-minute urgent work items: 1) review and add CPE questions to the survey ASAP, PR is on the way, 1) get in contact with someone with access to the Fedora Lime Survey 2) get in contact with someone able to post a banner on Fedora site
So, we managed to run a survey! Almost.
There are couple of finishing tasks:
1) Since today is the last day, I filed the ticket to take down the banners tomorrow https://gitlab.com/fedora/websites-apps/fedora-websites/fedora-websites-3.0/-/issues/240
The ticket will cover the websites.
2) For Discourse we need @mattdm take down the banner.
3) And we need @ekidney to close the survey tomorrow and send me the results.
This would be a good topic for our next meeting.
@bookwar Do you have any updates on the status of the survey for 2023? Is there anything else we need to do before closing this ticket? I don't think there is much for the Council to do to finish executing this ticket.
2023 Survey was done. Closing this out.
