RPM is moving from its legacy PGP implementation to the modern Sequoia PGP implementation: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/RpmSequoia
Sequoia PGP is part of the pEp Foundation. This organization has a partnership and sponsorship program and given the importance of RPM in our stack of software as well as supporting modern secure software, I would like Fedora to consider a sponsorship or partnership with this organization.

The discussion topic for this ticket trailed off in June 2023, mostly due to budget constraints. The sentiment is good and we really do appreciate this work happening in the ecosystem, but I do not think Fedora is equipped today to sponsor at this capacity. Even in good times, the amounts seem high given Fedora's budget, with sponsorship amounts ranging from 4,000 EUR to 256,000 EUR.
Since my last reply in June was to close this ticket as deferred, I am going to assume agreement and close this as deferred.
