On behalf of the EMEA Ambassadors, I’m filling a request to ask for a raise to the EMEA budget for FY18.

Our budget for the FY18 was 11.000$, while the previous years was ~25.000$ and we were more flexible. We knew from the beginning that this amount of money is not enough for all of our activities for the current fiscal year, compared to our budget of the previous years.

We raised the budget for FOSDEM this year, which is the most important and successful event in the region, as we agreed to bring more technical people on board even for other regions outside EMEA, and the response was very good so far. Also, we will use some of the funds to produce swag needed for our upcoming events, and print some exclusive promotional bags in cooperation with the folks from centOS, just for FOSDEM. Finally some of these funds will also be allocated for nullcon (International Security Conference 2018).

For this reason I would like to request an additional 5.000$ to be credited to the EMEA budget. Please can you review this ticket as soon as possible as we need to give an answer to people that have applied for budget to go at FOSDEM and nullcon? We are approaching the conference dates and the flight tickets get more expensive day by day.
