name: Font Fixer
description: Helped fix the licensing metadata for Fedora fonts. You've got the "write" stuff!
A one-off badge for [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Web_Assets#Fonts fixing font licensing metadata] during the Fedora 20 release cycle. Hopefully I can recruit some slave labor attract some volunteers with the promise of a shiny badge.
It's separate from #90 Web Warrior since this effort is not really related to unbundling per-se. Also, I want a handypanda!
Artwork idea: panda dressed as a handyman armed with a quill or a pen or something instead of a wrench
I'm not entirely in love with the name but it works with the art idea. Maybe my horrible pun in the description can go into the title instead?
Thanks for the idea! Triaging.
You could just make the name 'The Write Stuff' and shorten the description, I guess? Setting priority 'major' as there's a time element to this one, I guess.
Okay, sounds good to me. :-)
Let's try this and see how it goes. Patches, you go ahead and promise people that they'll get a badge for helping. Keep a list of the FAS usernames that participated. In the meantime, someone has to volunteer to step up and make the art for it, but that's the only thing we need.
This will work like how we did the "devendorizor" badge. https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/devendorizor
Patches, when you say its all done -- we'll award the badges. Cool?
FWIW, we're doing the same thing with the supplimental wall paper submission badge https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/126
the write stuff 256 px
I call him the pandyman.
Ok, the badge is pushed here- https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/the-write-stuff
I'll leave the ticket open until patches can supply a list of people who should receive it.
OK, I just granted patches the rights to award that badge directly, so I think we can close this ticket now. It is in his hands.
