Help the badges team understand what this idea is all about. If this badge is awarded for certain kinds of activities: 1) What are those activities?
Instructing Fedora classroom sessions, to begin with over the IRC: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Classroom
2) Who is doing them (are they packagers? translators? newcomers? veterans? users? sponsors?)
Anyone from the community really. A classroom session can aim to teach anything at all.
3) Why are they doing them (is this a means to a different end?)
To help more people learn skills, and as a result improve participation in various teams.
4) When do they do them (every day? once a year?)
We don't have a schedule yet, but we'll like to have regular classroom sessions - maybe fortnightly if I can cajole enough people to instruct them. Badges would be a nice reward :)
5) How do they do them (by talking in IRC? by running commands in the console? by using a web interface?)
At the moment, we're resurrecting the programme over IRC, since this worked in the past. In the future, we'll look to also include other technologies, but this is a WIP (Classroom v2)
Lastly, do you have any ideas for artwork concepts? A panda scribbling on a chalk board? A yoda panda? A smug professor types panda?
(Similarly, a badge for community members that attend these sessions would also be awesome :))

Here's something basic that I came up with. I wasn't completely sure what numbers you were thinking for the "series" aspect of the badge, so I just made it generic with a number 10 to show what it would look like, but if you let me know what the series numbers are I will make iterations for each of those!

@maryshak1996 this is really cute! I have a few suggestions for you. It's a little bit busy right now, so let's try to simplify it a little. Try a version with the background lightened up a bit and maybe incorporate a subtle gradient. I think you could pull off the numbering as the text on the chalkboard and take out the squiggles. Like this badge: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/sensei The orange outline on the text is doing a vibrating thing against the black, perhaps you could try different some colours or leave it out entirely.

@riecatnor , I made the changes you mentioned but don't we need to keep the number on the chalkboard? Since this is intended to be a badge series, wouldn't we need to have the numbers pretty clearly visible on the badge?

Hi all! Even with the trick to get the right URL, I can't access the design assets for this badge. Does anyone have a copy and can re-upload them to this ticket? I'll push the badges up when I have the assets.
This might be a silly question, but since I can't see the artwork, I'll ask here: did you all already know there is a badge for running Fedora Classroom sessions, the Sensei badge? I'm not sure if this was noted or not, but we probably want to continue the design / theme around that, or if we want to try something new, we should update the artwork for the original badge.
