A series of badges may be awarded for translators: 1. 'You have decided to go global' for signing up in zanata 2. 'Welcome to the global team' for getting approved in a language team 3. 'You lead a global team' for becoming a coordinator of a language team 4. 'You started contributing to make Fedora global' for translating 10 strings 5. 'You started helping in global effort' for reviewing 10 strings
There can be other badges for translating more than 100, 500, 1000 strings or reviewing similar number of strings.

@mpdutym hi! and thanks for your badge ideas! We reviewed this issue today in our badges meeting and we have some input to help out.
Please put each badge/series idea on it's own issue. Once each idea is in its own issue we can work on artwork concepts for those. Another thing to keep in mind before too much time is invested on this is that we are unable to automate things from zanata to fedmsg for the time being.
One of the ideas we can implement now is for the language team member. Let's keep this issue open for that idea. Concept for that would be to style after one of the team member badges like this one: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/famsco-member but take out the table and all that leaving the panda and give him the zanata logo on his shirt instead of the Fedora logo which you can find here https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Zanata-Logo.svg

Hi, this sounds good ideas! I'm unsure all of them are doable, but at least translation statistics are covered by ticket #221 I think being part of translation team is already a discussed idea, but using FAS and not by connecting to Zanata.
We would probably have to split this ticket into multiple requests. Before doing that, can we please open a discussion with L10N mailing list (trans@..) and in a meeting?
