#351 Internationalization team member

What the badge should be granted for:
For new members and contributors of Fedora Internationalization group (i18n-team FAS user)
Badge description (like "You added a co-maintainer to a package. BFF!"):
You are a proud member of Fedora Internationalization team
Anything else we need to know:
This badge need to be manually awarded to those who add their package to i18n-team group.

Same here as in #350, there doesn't seem to be a i18n-team group in FAS: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/group/view/i18n-team

A badge like this should be discussed with the translation team. How would they want it to be awarded?

See how we asked the xfce-sig here in comment 3 of #133 https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges/ticket/133#comment:3

btw we can have separate ticket for translators once Zanata-fedmsg integration happens. We are i18n people ;-)

Update:
We have i18n-team a pesudo packagedb/FAS user. I am not sure if just based on this information a badge can be awarded. We have some discussion on having this badge for i18n package maintainers in https://fedorahosted.org/i18n/ticket/44 ticket. If this badge need to be awarded manually then I have a list ready with me now -> https://pnemade.fedorapeople.org/i18n-team-members.txt

Thanks.

Great, that works. @pnemade, I don't this it can be automatically awarded, but I could authorize your account to hand out the badge to that list (and to new people as they come along).

Thanks. Yes I always keep watch on i18n-team user so I will know about new people else I will use my script to fetch people information monthly as I don't expect packaged being added to i18n-team continuously.

Hi blackfile,

We discussed this item in last i18n meeting. Not much input though.

My review. Presently in output we have only provided CJK character. Good to add couple more characters from other scripts.
1. Add "क" This is Indic script character.
2. Add "ب" This is Arabic script characters.

This will make it further clear that i18n take care of world languages :)
Else looks good. Lets try to close this quickly.

Hi there! Sorry for the delay in my review, this month has been very hectic for me.

@blackfile, please upload your svg source file and png for every badge you work on. I have a few changes and few suggestions for you.

For categorization on member badges we use the pink outside ring(which you have used :)) and a medium green for the background color. See for reference -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/famsco-member https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/videographer

The samurai and pen graphics are too small. All objects in badges should have a stroke of 1.5 pixels or more, or no stroke at all. With that being said, I think that the samurai graphic is not the right fit for this badge. You should use a panda or badger if you choose to use a character.

I have a suggestion for what I think would be a successful design that follows the style guidelines. Try taking out all graphics besides letters and arrows and make them larger to take up the space. Make sure to try giving them a stroke :)

The text for i18n is a hard to read, so please make that larger. Member badges only sometimes feature the name of the group, so I would like to see a version with and without i18n text.

I would like to see how rounded arrows look instead of cornered. See for reference -> https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/fad-managua-2013

I think I threw enough at you for now ;) I will review again once you have uploaded new artwork. Feel free to message me on #fedora-design if you would like to discuss any badge related stuff

@pravins, panda seems to be the popular choice. We talked with riecatnor and decided to change panda's color to fedora blue, because s/he is a fedora panda :)
