RHDS-11 runs on RHEL-8. The RHDS Java Console used until RHDS-10 on RHEL-7 has been deprecated in RHDS-11 on RHEL-8. The unified management tool on RHEL-8 is called Cockpit, and is a web based tool, with very a small system footprint and a flexible plug-in architecture. The RHEL-8 LDAP server plug-in in cockpit, for either the 389-ds component, or for the product RHDS-11 was designed to be a management tool of the LDAP server features and its configurations. It was not designed as a database content management tool, nor a LDAP browser/editor. There are other good tools with graphical interfaces that exist for the purpose of managing users and groups in a LDAP database. Examples can be Apache Directory Studio, JXplorer. Today, users and groups can be managed via the command line tools like ldapsearch, ldapmodify from OpenLDAP-clients, and the dsidm utility from 389-ds.
That said, it is possible to create a Cockpit plug-in for the 389-ds-base component, to add features, like users and groups management.
We may want to evaluate if the same features can be matched from what was available with the deprecated DS console.
