#49215 Schema replication incorrectly converts standard schema to user defined schema
Closed: wontfix 4 years ago by mreynolds. Opened 7 years ago by mreynolds.

Issue Description

The schema replication protocol is incorrectly adding 'user defined' to standard schema attributes and objectclasses. This results in the "standard" schema being able to be updated - when its supposed to remain read-only.

Steps to reproduce

  • Setup 2 way MMR
  • Add a custom attribute to Master A
  • Make an update to the replicated subtree to trigger schema replication
  • On Master B all the standard schema now contains 'user defined', and it is located in 99user.ldif
  • You can then add a custom attribute to Master B, make an update, and now all the schema on Master A is 'user defined'
