Due to interactions with pre and post op be_txn plugins, we should have the option for extended operations to support a be_txn type of plugin also. This will be used by dna.c, and other plugins in the future. This helps to reduce developer stress on managing transactions, and will improve dirsrv stability. Please see the design document, and the trac ticket for more.

The framework implementation looks good.
Probably, this might be a style issue, but I prefer rather having this kind of notes in the ticket, not in the comments, which could be easily ignored and might be accidentally removed.
