#47301 NSS_Initialize failed - SSL Library Error and Segmentation fault after upgrading 389 from CentOS 6.3 to CentOS 6.4
Closed: wontfix None Opened 11 years ago by nutella.

After upgrading 389 from CentOS 6.3 to CentOS 6.4 I cannot login to my 389 admin console anymore the error that appears over and over again in the log (/var/log/dirsrv/admin-serv/error) is the following:

[Thu Mar 21 18:48:08 2013] [error] NSS_Initialize failed. Certificate database: /etc/dirsrv/admin-serv.
[Thu Mar 21 18:48:08 2013] [error] SSL Library Error: -8038 SEC_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED
[Thu Mar 21 18:48:09 2013] [notice] child pid 7273 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

The NSS and OpenLDAP updates in EL 6.4 broke admin server. The NSS part is fixed in 3.14.3-3

The openldap bugs are https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=929357 for Fedora and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=929358 for EL 6.4

The bugs causing this issue are mentioned in comment#4 above. Closing this since it is not a bug in 389. Please follow the NSS and OpenLDAP bugs to track the updates.
